Ivan, you change the last line of the dv3.par file from "genomewide" to

byseg
500
50

Then run it like normal, either ./DIYDodecadLinux32 dv3.par

or ./DIYDodecadLinux64 dv3.par

The comments have been so general that I'm not quite sure whether I'm being fooled by next generation spam bots, but the links aren't for Viagra, so I'll let it go for now. :)

Thanks Erika. Glad to see there is an author ID project in the works. I wish a similar project existed for affiliation. I would love to be able to enter a single search term and pull up the publication history of an entire department, center, or institute.

That's unfortunate for "Wisconsin", but "Biology" is particularly bad, because there are so many derivatives, like neurobiology and microbiology. :)

You popped up in my RSS feed for PubMed. This is a big problem in PubMed, esp. because the affiliation search *only* looks for the affiliation of the first author. There is an author ID project underway, but no ETA on when it will be ready. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/nd10/nd10_pm_author_id.html.
Web of Science does a much better job of looking for author affiliations, although I'm not sure it's possible to get as granular as departmental affiliaton.

But hey, could be worse--you could be at University of Wisconsin! Unfortunately, NIH is on Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, and that *really* muddies up the author searches...

"Of course, an easier alternative is to sync your Zotero files with Dropbox, which offers 2 GB of storage for free. Under the Advanced Zotero options, change the Data Directory Location to your Dropbox folder."

please don't do that. It's an almost surefire way to, at one point, corrupt your Zotero database, potentially irretrievably. If you ever, by any accident leave FF open on two locations and do anything with Zotero on one of them that can be enough.
You can use a sym-link from your storage directory to dropbox, thus only syncing your files through dropbox and use Zotero's free data-sync for the rest.
But I can't warn strongly enough against the dangers of putting your zotero.sqlite into dropbox.
